About Gail Appleton

Welcome to my indulgent blog!

The purpose of this blog website is to gradually build up a ’swipe file’ of my knowledgebase and new discoveries.

Therefore this blog is a condensed reference for my own purposes, but you are welcome to follow along.

I left full time employment at the end of October 2008 to start out on the business ladder.  Much to my surprise, the flight path of this journey has changed direction about five times as I’ve discovered what really gets me excited.

I’ve developed quite a fascination around Marketing strategies that actually make money!

Contrary to what you would think, strategies that realistically make the cash registers ring, are not commonly practiced both online and offline in most businesses.  When I discovered this, I immediately set about on my own private 12 month mission to learn what works, who we should be listening to, and getting results from this knowledge.

Outside of my Marketing fascination, I have a passion for mountain biking. My 2008 Giant Trance 2 bike looks after me most of the time out in the hills. Here in New Zealand we have a wealth of purpose built mountain bike parks that cater for all skill levels. So if you are ever in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand, I’d enjoy taking you out to explore in the hills!

Check out the growing ‘Swipe File’ of resources that have captured my attention!

UPDATE: April 2011.
I would like to thank all of you who take the time to comment.  All your comments are much appreciated. Thank you!

At over 4700 comments from readers in the first year of this blog,  I hope you understand that it’s no longer practical to publish the comments.

Sorry that I haven’t been able to post new content for a while. I have a major Marketing Contract which started at the end of May 2010 and finishes around November 2011. As you will understand, I need to put my full focus into that contract above my commitment to this blog.

I’ve had a number of requests to add a subscribe button for new posts. I didn’t anticipate this website would have such a big following, so I am hoping the RSS feed I’ve added today to the sidebar will help.
For those who want to swap links, I would prefer not to at this stage, but appreciate your offer.
For those who want to know how I made this site, I used Wordpress Template ‘Compromise 2.0′ by Free WordPress Themes

Thank you all for taking the time to read this and for your comments.
